Everything about Dane Lanken totally explained

Dane Lanken (born 1945 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian journalist. He was a film critic for the Montreal Gazette from 1967 to 1977, and has since been a freelance journalist who writes regularly for Canadian Geographic, among other publications.
   In 1993, Penumbra Press published his book "Montreal Movie Palaces, Great Theatres of the Golden Era 1884 - 1938", which includes contemporary photographs by Brian Merrett and Julie Greto.
   He is married to singer-songwriter Anna McGarrigle, and has appeared as a vocalist on several of her albums with her sister Kate McGarrigle. McGarrigle and Lanken have two children, Lily Lanken and Sylvan Lanken, and live near the small Eastern Ontario town of Alexandria, in North Glengarry.
